Claims

A claim records a prize owed to a member. The winner opens a private ticket to arrange delivery, and staff mark the prize collected afterward.

Set up claims

The /settings and /claim commands require Manage Server permission by default. Prize Bot needs permission to create ticket channels and send messages in the selected channels.

Run /settings claiming. Set category for private tickets and log_channel for completed ticket logs.
Set staff_role to the role that helps deliver prizes. Add instructions to explain what winners should provide.
Keep disable_claiming off to allow tickets. Turn the setting on only if you want to record prizes without opening tickets.

Claim messages appear in the output channel chosen for a custom claim, or the event’s results channel for auction and giveaway prizes. The claim log channel above receives records when staff close tickets.

Deliver a prize

Create a prize with /claim create, or let an auction or giveaway produce the winner’s claim. Prize Bot posts a claim message that mentions the winner.
The winner selects Claim! on the Discord claim message. Prize Bot opens a private ticket for the winner, host, and claim staff.
The host or staff use the ticket to arrange prize delivery.
After delivery, the host, claim staff, or an administrator selects Collected. Prize Bot marks the claim collected, logs the result, and closes the ticket.

Members can find their pending claims on My prizes. Opening a ticket does not mark the prize collected.

To review or update claim records, resend messages, or cancel claims in the dashboard, open your server’s Browse events and select Claims. The server’s Claims settings page controls tickets and expiration rules.

Commands

/claim create

Create a claim for a member. Choose a role to create a claim for each non-bot member of that role; this bulk action requires Server Premium.

target: Member or role to receive the prize. Required.
item: Prize name. Required.
log_channel: Channel for the claim message. Required.
description: Optional prize details.

/claim inventory

List pending prizes for the member selected in the required user option.

/claim refresh

Restore missing messages for pending claims to the required channel. Existing messages remain in place. Collected and cancelled claims are not restored.

Claim settings

Open your server’s Claims page in the dashboard, or use /settings claiming. These options are available in Discord:

category: Category for private claim tickets.
staff_role: Role that can view claim tickets and mark prizes collected.
log_channel: Channel for completed or cancelled ticket logs.
instructions: Message shown inside claim tickets.
channel_prefix: Prefix for ticket channel names.
disable_claiming: Record prizes without allowing winners to open claim tickets.
forfeit_enabled: Show a Forfeit button on claim messages. Off by default.
open_timeout: Time a winner has to open a claim, such as 3d. After that time, an unopened claim expires.
expiration: Time before an inactive, open ticket closes, such as 7d. This is separate from the deadline to open a claim.
next_bidder_fallback_enabled: Offer an expired auction claim to the next eligible bidder.

Forfeit, cancel, or reopen a claim

Forfeit

If forfeits are enabled, the winner can give up a prize from the claim message before opening a ticket.

Cancel

The host or an administrator closes the ticket and marks the claim cancelled. The winner can no longer open that claim from the original message.

Reopen

Authorized ticket staff or an administrator can use Reopen in the ticket log to create a new ticket channel. Reopening returns the claim to pending. Cancelled giveaway claims cannot be reopened.
